AH-HA! Kleenex Blogging Metaphor
Mid afternoon today, I decided to step away from my computer to engage in some off line research. Hmm…maybe a modicum of truth is really in order. You know the big blogging gurus encourage honesty and integrity, etc. OK. I slumped off to vegetate in front of the television. I am not feeling well.
I have a Kleenex in my hand when I see the “Let It Out” commercial on TV.
Click! I have the Oprah “AH-HA” moment. All through the blogosphere I see bloggers trying to explain what blogging is, who should blog, and why you should blog. Here is a simple metaphor:
Take a look at the “Let It Out” commercial.
The sofa = a blog
The person sitting on the sofa = the blogger
The person listening = a blog subscriber
The stream of people looking on/walking by = a one post reader; web traffic
Yes! You should have a box of Kleenex by your side when you read blogs.
For as many varieties of Kleenex boxes, for all your decorating fancies, there are blogs to bring you to tears. You may have tears of laughter or joy or sadness or you might just read blogs for a living and need a Kleenex cause ya just don’t feel well.
Seven mile line
Today’s Random Fact…
The drive-through line on opening day at the McDonald’s
restaurant in Kuwait City, Kuwait was at times seven
miles long.
