“No matter what accomplishments you achieve…
“No matter what accomplishments you achieve, somebody always helps you.” ~Althea Gibson
I think of all the accomplishments I have achieved. There was always someone there to help. I am so grateful to them for recognizing something in me and encouraging me. My life has been enriched for having crossed paths with them.
Sending out a thank you into the universe to those that have journeyed with me.
“If you tell the truth…
“If you tell the truth you don’t have to remember anything.” ~Mark Twain
LOL. This quote is quite true. Which then begs the question…Can a person live a truth filled life? I mean really. How truthful can you be? Aren’t there little lies we tell ourselves just to make it through the day? What if we didn’t lie to ourselves? Could we really not lie to ourselves?
“If you want something you have never had…
”If you want something you have never had, you will have to do something you have never done.” ~Lou Cassara
This quote intrigues me because I wonder…would I recognize what it is I would have to do? If I have never done it before, would I know what to do?
I think I live a safe life. I like being safe. Very rarely do I step outside my boundaries. So maybe the challenge is asking for something I have never had. I have been give a lot in this life. I am content. Will keep my mind open to new possibilities.
“Who does not thank for little will not thank for much.” Estonian Proverb
“Who does not thank for little will not thank for much.”
Estonian Proverb
Ever have one of those days? The day where everything irritates you. The day where the things you need to go right go miserably wrong? I found a way to correct this. As soon as you notice your day is off kilter-stop. For one moment stop the inner voice. For one moment stand still. For one moment take a deep breath. Then, be truly thankful for something. It does not matter how small or unrelated or silly it is just be sincerely thankful. By focusing on something positively it adjusts your perspective enough to stop obsessing about things that aren’t exactly going as planned.
Be thankful for little
“There are no office hours for champions.” ~Paul Dietzel
“There are no office hours for champions.”
College Football Coach and Artist, Paul Dietzel
Perhaps this is the problem. Could it be that because “champions” do not set reasonable boundaries society ends up with wrecks like Dennis Rodman? If the media respected Tiger Woods’ “office hours” his private life would have been just that… PRIVATE.
